In short: Save Image as PDF does not collect, store, sell, or transmit any personal data. Every image conversion happens locally on your device. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no third-party trackers.

What we collect

Nothing. The extension does not collect or send any personal or usage data to us or to any third party. We have no servers, no databases, and no analytics.

How your images are handled

When you choose to save or convert an image, the extension reads that image's data only to produce the file you asked for (PDF, PNG, JPG, WebP or BMP).
All conversion runs on your own device, inside your browser. Your images are never uploaded to us or anyone else.
The only network request the extension makes is downloading the specific image you selected, directly from the website that already hosts it — the same request your browser would make to display it.
The finished file is handed to your browser's normal Downloads system and saved to your device. We never see it.

Settings storage

Your preferences (default format, PDF layout, filename template) are saved using the browser's chrome.storage.sync API. This data stays within your own browser/Google account sync and is never transmitted to us. You can clear it at any time by removing the extension.

Permissions and why they are needed

Permission	Purpose
`contextMenus`	Adds the right-click “Save image as…” menu.
`downloads`	Saves the converted file to your Downloads folder.
`offscreen`	Runs the local image/PDF conversion (needs a canvas).
`storage`	Remembers your settings.
`scripting`, `activeTab`	Shows the multi-select overlay and reads page-scoped images only when you act.
`host permissions`	Lets the extension download the bytes of the image you chose to save (images are often hosted on a different domain/CDN than the page). Used only for that image — for no other purpose.

Third parties

The extension bundles the open-source jsPDF library locally to build PDFs. It loads no remote code and contacts no third-party services.

Children’s privacy

The extension is a general-purpose utility and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the “Last updated” date above will change accordingly. Material changes will be reflected in the extension’s store listing.
